Prof Harbir Singh, Business Strategy, Wharton (Co author of The India Way, HBS) – The India Way – How India’s Top Business Leaders are Revolutionizing Management?

Prof Singh has been – Vice Dean of Global Initiatives at the Wharton School and Co-Director Mack Center for Technological Innovation at the Wharton School. Academic Director, Wharton’s Executive Education Program on Strategic Management and Academic Advisory Board of the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. Visiting Professor at the London Business School and Bocconi University, Italy.

His book The India Way: How India’s Top Business Leaders are Revolutionizing Management, identifies distinct innovations in management developed by Indian business leaders that have relevance for other geographic settings.

He was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi in 2010 and the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Doctoral Program of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. In 2008, he was elected a Fellow of the Strategic Management Society, the primary professional group in his field. Harbir’s research on the role of cultural distance in explaining the choice of entry mode by multinationals won the “JIBS Decade Award”, presented by the Journal of International Business Studies.
