This last event featured a guest who needs no introduction, Mr. N. Murthy, an iconic leader of Indian entrepreneurship who was recently appointed Chairman Emeritus of Infosys. He also serves on the Boards of HSBC, Ford Foundation and Wharton School among others and holds a long list of honors and awards.

He shared his views on several topical issues; contrasting and comparing India and China, India’s opportunities and challenges in the current global environment and finally the growing concern that India will miss the window of opportunity that it has enjoyed until recently? His view on India being the classic case of a glass half full or half empty was very interesting because despite the enormous growth, government statistics still show that income in rural areas is extremely low and there are a very large number of poor people. However, for him that only makes the future more interesting and challenging.
